After harvesting, seeds should be laid out to dry immediately. Berries can be refrigerated until they can be processed.

Threshing works best after your collections have dried or with fully ripe berries.
Using a paddle covered with a rubber strip, rub plant materials between the threshing mat and the paddle. This method used for a variety of seed processing; see below.
Threshing
1. To separate seed from plant
2. To break wings or hairs off seed
3. To open up capsules to release seed
4. For berries whose seeds get damaged in the blender
